There is a new way to save a cannabis crop from mold and bacteria. The GreenTech ProGuard system for Innovative Solutions is an in-duct solution for ventilation that was recently showcased during the MJ Business Convention in Las Vegas in December 2019. Over the past few years, our commercial accounts have seen a great deal of success in their crop’s health and yield by using ProGuard. The lab results featured below prove the benefits of active air purification for indoor cannabis growers who are battling botyrtis, grey mold, powdery mildew, and other bacteria.
To demonstrate the scientific results for ProGuard, two facilities were recently tested in Colorado and California. ProGuard Technology reduced mold & bacteria by over 98% in flower cure/dry rooms, effectively preventing mold and powdery mildew, as well as killing pathogens of all types. The active air purification technology reduces the microbial levels by attacking the problem at the source while maintaining the integrity of the product.
HOW DOES ACTIVE AIR PURIFICATION WORK?
Active air purification seeks out the offending issues like mold and odor much like a cat hunts down a mouse as it’s prey. This differs from passive air purification (like HEPA and other filtration products) which behave more like a mouse trap that waits for the pollution to pass through before any action takes place.
PhotoCatalytic Oxidation (PCO) technology generates two key purifying technologies to replicate outdoor processes of using ultraviolet energy to activate a multi-metal catalyst and convert water vapor into peroxide and hydroxyls. These powerful oxidizers penetrate the cell wall and inactivate the microbe through the process of cell lysing, thus changing the molecular structure and rendering the contaminant harmless. The result is the destruction of odors, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), mold, and bacteria.
